Trinityhouse Schools was established in 1990 as an independent co-educational school in Gauteng, South Africa. The school was founded on Christian principles with a mission to provide academically rigorous education within a values-driven environment, serving families in the Johannesburg metropolitan area.

Throughout the 1990s, Trinityhouse built a reputation for strong academic outcomes and a structured school culture that combined traditional values with contemporary teaching methods. ADvTECH Group acquired Trinityhouse as part of its strategy to consolidate premium independent school brands in South Africa. ADvTECH had been building its schools portfolio through the late 1990s and 2000s, acquiring and developing brands including Crawford International, Abbotts Colleges, and Maragon Private Schools alongside Trinityhouse.

In 2019, ADvTECH announced the development of a new Trinityhouse campus at Glenvista, south of Johannesburg, with the campus opening its doors in 2020. The Glenvista campus was designed to serve families in the southern suburbs of Johannesburg who sought access to the Trinityhouse educational model without traveling to existing northern campuses.

The Glenvista campus welcomed its founding principal ahead of the 2020 academic year, marking a significant expansion of the Trinityhouse footprint. By 2024, ADvTECH's Schools Division was reporting healthy enrolment growth across its brands, with CEO Geoff Whyte noting in the group's H1 2025 results that moderate fee increases, improved debtors control, and continued margin improvement contributed to strong financial performance. The Schools South Africa segment had previously recorded revenue growth of 13% and operating profit growth of 18% in the 2023 reporting period.

Trinityhouse students consistently perform well in the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) Matric examinations. ADvTECH's school brands collectively recorded a 99.7% IEB pass rate in 2023, with 87.7% of students obtaining a bachelor degree pass, reflecting the academic standards maintained across the group's school portfolio.

In April 2024, ADvTECH announced plans to expand into health education, particularly nursing, signaling the group's ambition to diversify beyond its existing school and tertiary education brands. This strategic direction does not directly affect Trinityhouse's school-level operations but reflects the parent company's broader growth trajectory.
