Takeda's oral proteasome inhibitor (ixazomib citrate), FDA approved November 20, 2015, as the first and only oral proteasome inhibitor approved for multiple myeloma, used in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone for adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least one prior therapy, based on the TOURMALINE-MM1 Phase 3 trial.
